The White Stuff

It’s been a long time since I’ve posted on this blog because we’ve been crazy busy with family coming to town. And lately BG has decided that she likes to help me type, which means that unless I want a frustrated, crying baby and a frustrated, crying mom, it’s better to keep blogging time to naptime. But with all that we’ve had going on, naptime has been filled with other exciting things like washing the dishes.

While I’ve been away, I’ve been doing some soul searching about a topic that is very important to me: deodorant. I’m just wondering, am I the only one who doesn’t know how to apply my invisible solid deodorant or is “invisible” just a gimmick? I always end up with white stuff on the insides of my sleeves and if I even think about putting on my deodorant before my shirt, I get white marks on the hem of my shirt too. If I’m wearing long sleeves, it’s not such a big deal, but whenever I wear a dark short-sleeved shirt, I have to hold my breath and close one eye while I put on my deodorant or I end up with white marks in my armpits. I’m thinking Secret needs a new slogan: raise your hands if you’re sure it’s really invisible.

So I always wait to put my deodorant on last, which has caused me real problems in the past. Sometimes I was in such a hurry and smelling so sweet when I got dressed that I forgot to put on my deodorant. I used to carry around a travel size stick of deodorant for the times that I forgot. Now that I don’t leave the house as much, it’s not such a big deal if I forget my deodorant. But seriously. Am I the only one who has these problems or are those women in that Dove deodorant commercial who walk around with their shirts on inside out just trying to make me feel inept?

AMEN! I don't know about Dove, but Degree "little black dress approved" invisible solid is falsely advertising their deodorant! It really makes me mad sometimes.
